Christmas in July will be a reality in Houston, Texas on Sunday, July 20 when 15 thousand pounds of snow falls from noon to 2 p.m. at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts (800 Bagby St) to celebrate Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas
Attendees will be able to escape the summer heat under a blanket of freshly fallen snow for a holiday treat like no other with free photos with Santa, a snowman building contest, snow cones and other holiday-themed delights. Attendees will also have a chance to win discounts on tickets, vouchers, certificates and other prizes in a money blowing machine. All of this will mark the on-sale date for tickets to TUTS’ holiday show, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.
TUTS’ production of "Christmas" will play December 4-21, 2008. It's part of a season that also include Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple, Legally Blonde The Musical, Meet Me in St. Louis, Happy Days a New Musical and Cabaret. For more information, visit: www.tuts.com
