Single tickets for the 2008-2009 season at Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA go on sale July 23. The season, as previously announced will include the musical Ace, which is being concerned a pre-Broadway engagement, and the world premiere of Michael-John LaChiusa's Giant, a musical adpatation of Edna Ferber's novel, with book by Sybille Pearson.
Among the other shows in Signature's upcoming season, the Washington premieres of LaChiusa's See What I Wanna See, Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore and Douglas Carter Beane's The Little Dog Laughed. The runs for each of these productions have already been extended due to high demand for tickets. (A complete calendar listing is below.)
The company also has a one-night only concert presentation of Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents' Anyone Can Whistle scheduled and a host of cabaret performances that are complementary to these productions.
