The classic Broadway-style musical La Cage Aux Folles, which has been playing at the Knightsbridge Theatre audiences for the past month, will extend its run beyond the original planned six weeks. After a week-long hiatus, “La Cage” will bring back the sequins and feathers
for another three weekends, beginning July 26.
Telling the story of long-term couple Georges and Albin, musical and the Knightsbridge production have been particularly timely in California. It opened during L.A.’s Gay Pride Week and just following the milestone California Supreme Court lifting of the ban on same-sex marriage on May 15.
La Cage Aux Folles continues its run on July 26, with performances on Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. (July 26, August 2 and 9) and Sundays at 6:00 p.m. (July 27, August 3 and 10). Tickets are $30 for adults; $25 for students and seniors over 65 (I.D. required). Knightsbridge Theatre is located at 1944 Riverside Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90039.
